#978 Chi Causa di sua Male Piange lo Stesso

BIG LOVE OUT TO ALL OF THE AMAZING PEOPLE I MET AT THE THIELSCH ENGINEERING ESOP BREAKFAST; WELCOME TO THE WEEKLY THOUGHT BLOG!

The title translation is: People cause their own problems and then cry about them.  You see, most people believe the problem is “out there.” They wait for external changes to redefine internal struggles. They know that if SHE would just change, THEY could be happier.

They’re sure that things will pick up once they get a new territory, manager, product mix, or client list.

You can’t keep believing that some external possession, event, or condition is the key to your happiness. Happiness is an inside job.

I’ve said this to you before; I used to think that mindset was 50% of the game. I know now that it’s 100%.

Mastering your mindset isn’t easy. It takes daily practice.

In my coaching groups, we often talk about our reactions to outside stimuli and how it influences everything from our income to our relationships.

Riddle me this, Batman, was the car horn invented to warn a pedestrian or drifting vehicle of danger or to reprimand the moron who changed lanes a bit too closely in front of you? And if your practice, in terms of your car horn, is the latter, how does it affect your heart rate, blood pressure, and cortisol levels at that moment and, ultimately, your happiness going forward?

People do business with people they like. Happy people are infinitely more likable than those feverish little clots of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not dedicate itself to making them happy. (Adapted from George Bernard Shaw)
