#875 Learning from Giants

I have not climbed Mt. Everest blindfolded.

I have not built a goliath company. I haven't won the congressional medal of honor, a purple heart, an Oscar, Emmy, Tony, Grammy, or any other "ee." 

I've never rescued anyone from a burning building or saved a life using CPR. I haven't survived cancer, nor have I cured it. So why am I writing this blog, and why are you reading it?

Because I read, listen to, and study some of the best information available. I curate it and pass it along to you, with my interpretation, in short essays, observances, and personal stories. This blog is not about me and what I think. It's my take on time-honored principles and wisdom from the best minds I can find.

Among the best books I've read are classics like Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich", Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People", Steven Covey's "7 Habits", "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George Clason, Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and Dr. Peale's "The Power of Positive Thinking". My favorite audio program ever is Peter Thompson's "Secrets of the Great Communicators," but Joe Navarro's "Body Language," is a close second. I've listened to too many programs by Tony Robbins, Zig Zigler, Wayne Dyer, and others to name here and I have Darren Hardy, Seth Godin, and Jerry Del Colliano delivered to my inbox daily. I listen to "The Ted Hour," "The Rapport Advantage," and Jane Atkinson's "Wealthy Speaker" podcasts whenever I have a long drive or commute and, of course, I call Dr. Rob's Success Hotline every day.
